Being Comfortable In Your Space

One of the most important things for a person is to feel comfortable in their home. Before moving in, try to visualize where all your stuff will go. Picture your bed by the window with the sunshine streaming in, while you lie back and read a book. Or your desk in the corner right next to that new floor lamp your aunt got you for your birthday. This way, it’ll be easier for you, because you’ll have some type of plan. Move your things in and see how it works out for you. If you don’t like it, move your stuff around a little! You may have had a plan, but plans are meant to be guides, not laws set in stone! So have some fun with it. Try out different looks. But keep in mind that moving furniture around too much can be dangerous and it can also be bad for your floors. Figure out which rooms are most important to you. For some, finding the right bed placement is crucial because they spend most of their time in their bedrooms.  For others, the kitchen and the living room may be more important places to furnish and decorate. Remember the importance of space, ventilation and lighting. It has also been proven that having a plant, even a small one, can help produce fresher air. Having a little house warming party with close friends to help you unpack can also be a great idea. It’ll help you get things done faster. You can enjoy drinks and snacks with them, while unpacking, mounting and moving furniture. It’s like having your own moving team, and paying them with food and drinks!

It’s your home; make it a place you’ll love to be in!
